Central Penn College graduate success rate increases



Based on the latest research graduate College Central Penn of annuals, 87.8% of the college graduates were employed in their chosen field or continuing their education within one year of graduation, 5.9 percentage rate increase from the previous year.

"I think the increase is indicative of Central Penn College's emphasis on providing a professional, career-focused education and preparing students for the experience of true labor," says the career services Director Steve Hassinger. "We believe that this report card to us; rather than report on the number of graduates who have found employment, we point back to our mission and focus on the number of graduates that actually working in their chosen field or to continue their education. "


Central Penn's mission is to provide an education that prepares graduates to gain employment or advancement in their chosen field, to continue their education and contributing members of society.


"Penn Central measure of success by the success of graduates," explains Hassinger.


The annual graduate research results were published on 3 July, recapitulation of elements of employment of 326, 343 alumni who graduated, 1 July 2011 and 30 June 2012. College career services team used different methods to gather data on employment, including: written, phone and email surveys, social networking sites, Internet searches, contact relatives, access to various other databases on Campus Faculty/staff Surveying, and contact with other graduates.


Are examples of some of the organizations where they work graduates: select Medical Corporation, Foot Locker, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Highmark, ACTIVISM, Ahold USA, Dauphin County children's services youth & and PHEAA. 52, physical therapist Assistant (PTA) graduates, working as PTAs 71 percent in the midstate. Graduates continue their education, Central Penn Alumni attending Boston University, Widener University, Penn State University and Shippensburg University, among others.

The career services team offers assistance to alumni life, career and follow a detailed communications plan with recent graduates to help them find career success. Services provided include test interviews, resume and cover letter, building, online lists of available jobs, job fairs, networking events, alumni mentors, and more.
