About the Role:
The Lead Report Analyst gathers requirements and develops reports that support global Sales, Channels and Marketing business units at McAfee, utilizing several reporting platforms. The position requires working with cross-functional teams consisting of IT, Operations, Sales, Sales Operations, Channel, Channel Operations, Marketing, Marketing Operations, Business Analysts, and Business Subject Matter Experts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing business needs, creating requirements and developing reports to satisfy that need
- Analyzing and understanding key business processes
- Solid data analysis to ensure meaningful data is presented
- Heavy data manipulation required
- Function as subject matter expert on reporting with a team of report writers
- Heavy OBI and report testing to support system enhancement and defect releases
- Develop and present reports in multiple formats – system dashboards, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to assist and train users in best practices so that they become self-sufficient in running and creating their own reports
- Ability to accurately gather and communicate future reporting enhancements
- Some project management such as taking meeting notes, enforcing deadlines, conflict resolution, and tracking items to completion
- Document processes and procedures for team trainings
- Ensure project and process quality
- Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures
Qualifications
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- College graduate with at least 5 years experience
- Must be able to successfully utilize technical tools such as Excel, Access, OBI, SQL and others for heavy data analysis
- Knowledge of technologies such as Siebel CRM. SaaS CRM knowledge a plus
- SAP BW experience or experience with another Business Intelligence tool is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in understanding business processes and translating into meaningful reports
- Must be process-driven and organized
- Excellent time management skills in order to juggle multiple requests
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
