About the role:


The Senior Vice President of Consumer Product Management will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction for McAfee consumer product. The candidate will be customer centric inserted, display sets the definition of the product and ensure that requirements are accurate to maximise opportunities for McAfee. Through interactions with the engineering team, and the existing customer base, this individual will own the roadmap for existing and future products for McAfee, which will enable the corporation to continue winning market share. This individual has built/substantially Redirected most important product launches and has set up a new strategic vision for a portfolio. The VP Product Management will report to SVP and GM of McAfee's Consumer Business Unit.


The Mission of this position include: greatly improves the timeline of the introduction of new products from concept to launch. construction of a collaborative product management function that works well with the other teams in the business unit; evaluate the current team to identify skill gaps and bring high quality people for the Organization; and being a key member of the Executive management team of consumers to help drive additional market share and position the company to the next level of growth. He/she will lead the process of portfolio management and identify new opportunities for product expansion through organic and acquisition means. He/she will also be the key leaders in the development of a plan of go-to-market for current versions and new products to maximize market awareness, penetration and ultimate success. He/she will work closely with individuals business units that are responsible for prices to ensure that the right price strategy is implemented. In addition, this position will coordinate with field and channel sales organizations. This person also expects to bring exceptional leadership to organize product management and development of people creating and building an outstanding team.


Key responsibilities:


- Develop and drive the execution of all positioning products, strategies, go-to-market and affect the messaging product. He/she will develop and drive revenue and executing all product strategies for the company's suite of products;


- Develop processes and communication channels to ensure the direction and product strategy


- Develop a system for collecting sales/partner requirements for sales tools and training and guide the delivery of these requirements with a feedback system with metrics that monitor impact and success;


- Unit planning process from product concept to the vessel, producing business requirements documentation for all products and working with engineering, design, documentation, QA, and all other groups to manage risks and provide products;


- Communicate product roadmap, advantages and features of the product to several people both inside and outside the company.


Qualifications


Experience/skills required & education:


- The ideal candidate will have 12-15 or more years experience in software product management with at least five more years in an executive position product management. He or she will be led product management for a major product category with multiple product lines that have produced significant growth sustainable.


- This person has created and implemented a process of proven product management that led to shorten the time from concept to product introduction. The final candidate will bring product roadmap creation experience short-and long-term as well as have the skills to lead teams of Product Managers on the proper implementation of the roadmap.


- This person will have had overall business experience with proven sales and marketing experience and strong in product management, and accelerating time to market. It is essential that the Vice President, Product Management has a successful track record in managing fast growing companies, setting aims and objectives of the Organization and those objectives in a timely manner. This person must be able to connect and give a direction to the product development teams on market and customer requirements with content-rich input. General familiarity with technical integration development is desired.


- The candidate will be an excellent team builder, trainer and leader and will be a significant contribution of the Executive management team. He/she must be highly motivated, goal-oriented and pragmatic. The Vice President of Consumer Product Management will be an excellent Communicator and have strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational and planning capacity.


- He/she will be creative and focused with strong analytical and problem solving skills.


- Experience with launch of new consumer products globally;


- Have strong ability to build effective relationships with a track record of success in creating a product management and marketing organization that worked well with sales, product development and business units;


- Proven success building product management team.


- Experience in successfully managing multiple projects from concept to delivery during the meeting schedules and budgets;


- Understanding of the product development cycle to maximize business opportunities;


- Be a proven leader and Team Builder with a commitment to mentoring relationships and settle their learning, Executive exposure and career advancement;


- Ability to work with sales to launch effective marketing programs that help drive market share increases.


- Have implemented business and product line metrics to determine the levels of performance targets and use these parameters to help manage the Organization of product management;


- There will be 20% more trips that are required with this position


- A degree in Informatics, business administration or another rigorous discipline. An advanced degree in one of these fields is a stronger.
